The Lydney Town Council has just recently planted a brand new sensory garden In Bathurst Park.

In Bathurst Park, the Lydney Town Council has just recently planted a brand new sensory garden. The garden is designed to accommodate people of all ages and encourages experiences that are accessible to all five senses: hearing, sight, smell, taste, and touch.

A multitude of plant life, musical instruments, a King Charles Coronation stool, and wooden artwork with colourful glass panels are all included in this garden. Additionally, there is a “Buggingham Palace,” which is an insect home that is currently under development.

The residents had a wonderful time during the afternoon outing, particularly because they were able to try out a variety of instruments. The Xylophone was Pauline’s favourite instrument to play, and J appreciated the fragrance of fresh flowers and the diversity of plants that were present.

While basking in the warmth of the afternoon sun, everyone closed off their afternoon by indulging in a scoop of ice cream at the nearby café.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Lydney Town Council for incorporating such a magnificent space into the park. We are confident that this will be appreciated by a great number of people in the years to come.
