Residents Enjoy Lively Music and Community Spirit in a Memorable Musical Session
This afternoon, residents at Old Sarum Manor were treated to a lively performance by the talented Woodford Ukulele Group. The group, comprising 12 volunteers equipped with instruments, songbooks, and all necessary gear, set up comfortably in the cinema room.
Residents from all floors gathered around to enjoy the musical entertainment, singing along to timeless classics. It was truly heartwarming to see how many residents remembered the songs, with some even joining in the fun. One resident enthusiastically got up for a dance, adding to the joyful atmosphere.
The group was wonderful with the residents, offering assistance with songbooks, engaging in friendly chats, and encouraging everyone to sing along. One resident was particularly delighted and followed the lyrics closely with help from a volunteer, while another sat at the front, singing each song with beautiful enthusiasm. A resident used a tambourine expertly, adding a lively rhythm to the performance.
The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and a sense of community, making it a truly memorable and uplifting activity for all involved.
