Residents of Old Sarum Manor had the opportunity to attend a special concert at Salisbury Cathedral to celebrate St George’s Day.
A Night of Musical Delight
The concert at Salisbury Cathedral provided an evening of musical delight for Old Sarum Manor Residents. Accompanied by The Band of The Coldstream Arms, Mezzo Soprano Louise Inns, and the Salisbury Military Wives Choir, the residents were treated to a range of enchanting performances. Our residents, particularly MW, actively participated by singing along to the songs they knew, immersing themselves in the joyous atmosphere. MW even had the chance to shake hands with some of the band members, adding a personal touch to her experience.
A Sense of Homecoming

The familiar surroundings, the resonant acoustics, and the grandeur of the Cathedral all evoked a sense of nostalgia and fond memories. Being in the presence of music in a place she had spent a significant part of her life created a deep emotional connection. Deirdre’s attendance at the special concert provided her with an opportunity to relive her past and reconnect with her former workplace, adding to the significance of the event for her.
