This week residents welcomed Michael to our team as our General Manager! Residents got know Michael with an afternoon tea party set up in our Tea Room.
Michael has joined our team with a wealth of experience in the care industry, he started his career as a care assistant, working with the elderly over thirty years ago. This has become a vocation, supporting people to maximize their quality of life. Michael then went on to work with People who had experienced Brain Injuries, where he progressed to Senior Carer, and to Deputy Manager. He also worked closely with people in the community, as well as in care homes.
Michael was promoted to Home Manager where he worked in the private sector with vulnerable adults. He has continued to develop his skills and training working in several private organisations as Manager. He has also been a Regional Manager working for a small care group, supporting people with learning disabilities within the community. Michael has come to Old Sarum Manor after working for an organisation for eight years. He is passionate about care and supporting people to maximise their full potential. Michael is committed to developing services and helping people to feel fulfilled, developing a sense of belonging and pride in their home.
