Residents, friends, and family come together for a delightful tea party to honour England’s patron saint
In a heartwarming celebration of St George’s Day, a traditional English tea party was organised to bring residents, friends, and family members together. The event aimed to foster community spirit and create joyful memories for all involved.
The morning was spent decorating the tearoom with an array of red and white balloons, banners, and flags, creating a festive atmosphere. Special St George’s Day art therapy sheets were printed out and laid on the tables, offering residents a creative activity if they wished to participate.
At 3 pm, the tearoom quickly filled with chatter, laughter, and warmth as residents, relatives, and friends gathered to enjoy the occasion. The kitchen team prepared homemade scones served with clotted cream and jam, which were savoured alongside cups of tea or coffee. The sunny weather prompted the doors to be opened to the balcony, allowing everyone to bask in the fresh air and admire the colourful pots of flowers outside.
Throughout the afternoon, the lively atmosphere persisted, with residents staying engaged, chatting, and sharing smiles. The event successfully celebrated the national day with a blend of tradition, community spirit, and good company. It was a lovely weekend gathering, reinforcing the importance of coming together and enjoying simple pleasures in life. The residents left the tearoom with happy memories and a sense of belonging, making the event a true highlight of the local community calendar.
