Would you join us for our weekly coffee mornings? There’s coffee and cake on offer every Wednesday morning from 10:30 – 12:00 and you’ll be very welcome.
Coffee Mornings are back on the menu at Old Sarum Manor!
To mark the arrival of Old Sarum Manor’s new Lifestyle Team, we welcome the return of the very popular weekly Wednesday Coffee Morning, and everyone is invited. Residents, their families and prospective residents will be able to come together for coffee and a slice of home made cake.
We first started our coffee mornings in 2020, when Old Sarum Manor first opened. It was really popular and a great opportunity for residents to mingle with each other, get to know staff better and for family members to have a chance to meet everyone.
Our new-look coffee morning will still have amazing, sweet treats and hot drinks but the Lifestyle Team has decided that this is the perfect opportunity for people considering Old Sarum Manor to get involved. It gives people the chance to relax together and get a feel for what everyday life is like at Old Sarum Manor.
Our Lifestyle Team organises the Coffee Morning and serves tea and coffee with slices of cake that have been made by the Catering Team that morning. It is a free event and payment isn’t expected for the event but many people in the past enjoyed themselves so much that they asked if they could make a donation. The Lifestyle Team thought that would be a good idea and will nominate a local Salisbury charity for any donations to go to.
Well Worth Dropping In
The chat and fun makes the coffee morning the perfect way to catch up with others, but we have a sneaking suspicion that the cakes on offer are also too good to miss.
The care home group, Elmfield Care, have created their very own version of the Great British Bake Off to our three homes; Old Sarum Manor, Flowers Manor and Nodens Manor. Our Catering Teams are competing in a weekly bake off, with our residents judging the winners – who will win a bottle of bubbly!
Old Sarum Manor were thrilled to win Week 3 of Elmfield Care Does the Great Bake Off, securing the crown with a fresh strawberry-topped chocolate tart, finished with a dash of icing sugar on top. Created by Old Sarum Manor’s Sous Chefs, our residents consider themselves the real winners as they got to tuck into the tart.
We’re looking forward to seeing you at our next Coffee Morning!
