There’s so much to love about living at Old Sarum Manor but our lifestyle team brought style and glamour to a recent January afternoon that even chased the cold weather away.
On 19 January, staff and residents from Old Sarum Manor enjoyed an afternoon of vintage fashion – and a little slice of cake – when they welcomed the team from Foxtrot Vintage into the home for a vintage fashion show.
The catwalk dazzled as team/staff members joined in the fun, wearing outfits and fashions from the 40s, 50s and 60s. The models caused a great deal of excitement and the fashions inspired memories to come flooding back, with residents recounting their own wardrobes from years gone by.
Foxtrot Vintage Clothing is a very special brand, having featured in Vogue and also on the small screen Home to highly specialised and authentic vintage clothing, you may have spotted some of Foxtrot’s items on the stage or small screen. Foxtrot has supplied costumes for much-loved classic series, such as Call the Midwife, Mr Selfridge and Downton Abbey.
Supported by Di and Julia of Foxtrot Vintage in Salisbury, Old Sarum Manor’s Lifestyle Assistant, Gale, made sure that there was a fabulous afternoon tea to go with the fashion show. Residents were encouraged to invite family members to enjoy the afternoon with them and each table was set with teas and coffees and a wonderful collection of cakes and buns.
