Residents Enjoy a Sweet Treat Thanks to Chef’s Efforts and Variety of Toppings
In a heartwarming celebration of Shrove Tuesday, residents at Old Sarum Manor Care Home enjoyed a delightful pancake feast, courtesy of our dedicated chef. Following a recent residents’ meeting where pancake preparations were requested, the chef rose to the occasion, whipping up a batch of homemade pancakes that quickly became a hit among the community.
At 3 PM, just in time for afternoon tea, residents were treated to a stunning array of toppings, including hundreds and thousands, fresh strawberries, lemon and sugar, chocolate spread, and chocolate sprinkles. The chef’s careful preparation ensured that each pancake could be customized, allowing residents to indulge in their favorite flavours.
The atmosphere was filled with laughter and joy as residents gathered to savor their creations, complemented by a fresh cup of coffee or tea. Many expressed gratitude for the special culinary treat, relishing the opportunity to enjoy a classic Shrove Tuesday tradition together.
