Staff, residents, and relatives come together to support care workers and enjoy a tasty afternoon
This week, we celebrated Care Workers Week to show our support for the amazing professionals who care for others every day. Our staff wore bright orange outfits to work, symbolising energy and warmth. Everyone donated £1 to the Care Workers Charity, helping to make a difference in the lives of care workers.
In the afternoon, we held a cheerful orange-themed tea party. The room was filled with the smell of delicious orange cakes and carrot cakes. Residents, staff, and their relatives all joined in the fun. Everyone enjoyed chatting and sharing laughs over cups of tea and tasty treats.
It was a wonderful way to bring everyone together and show appreciation for care workers. The party wasn’t just about having fun; it was also about raising awareness and funds for a good cause. Thanks to everyone’s support, we managed to raise £75!
The day was full of joy, kindness, and community spirit. It was a perfect reminder of how important it is to support those who care for us. We hope to keep celebrating and supporting care workers in the future, making every day a little brighter for everyone involved.
Overall, it was a fun, meaningful afternoon that showed how a simple idea like an orange tea party can bring people together and make a positive impact.
