A Day to Remember!
Despite the grey clouds looming overhead, Old Sarum Manor’s country western-themed summer party was anything but dull! The tantalising smell of BBQ wafted through the air, enticing residents, families, and staff alike to gather and make unforgettable memories. This vibrant gathering kicked up the dust and brought a spark of joy—even when the weather tried to play spoilsport!
Stalls Galore and Raffle Excitement!
Making your way inside, attendees were greeted by an array of stalls lining the reception area—each brimming with excitement. Guests enjoyed a refreshing glass of wine or water while taking part in cheeky competitions including “Guess the Name of the Scarecrow” and “How Many Jelly Beans Are in the Jar?” The excitement escalated with thrilling raffle prizes and tombola treats, while the nail-biting guess-the-weight-of-the-cake contest had everyone eagerly waiting for the big reveal!
Activities for All Ages!
The fun didn’t stop there! Guests stomped their boots to the lively tunes of Cheeko’s Western singing and hit the dance floor for a communal line dance in the dining room. Families thrived in the garden room, participating in games galore, while children giggled with glee at face painting stations. With skittles and laughter aplenty, every moment was a testament to the joy of community spirit at Old Sarum Manor!
Supporting Our Heroes: Fundraising for Care Workers Charity!
This year, we were thrilled to raise an impressive £412.50 for our Charity of the Year, the Care Workers Charity! We are immensely grateful to everyone who generously donated and contributed to this worthy cause. The Care Workers Charity provides vital support to care workers in need, ensuring they have the assistance and resources required to continue their invaluable work in our community—reflecting the very spirit of kindness and dedication we celebrate every day at Old Sarum Manor.
As our Managing Director Sheila Johnston beautifully stated, “What a fabulous ‘wild west’ party we had on Saturday at Old Sarum Manor. Residents, their loved ones, and staff all had a great time with lots of entertainment and great food! Thank you to all the OSM team for making this a fabulous event enjoyed by all!”
