Michael started his career as a Care Assistant, working with the elderly over thirty years ago. This has become a vocation, supporting people to maximize their quality of life. He then went on to work with People who had experienced brain injuries, where he progressed to Senior Care Assistant, and to Deputy Manager. Michael has also worked closely with people in the community, as well as in care homes. He was promoted to Home Manager where he worked in the private sector with vulnerable adults.
Michael has continued to develop his skills and training working in several private organisations as Manager. He has also been a Regional Manager working for a small care group, supporting people with learning disabilities within the community. Michael has come to Old Sarum Manor after working for an organisation for eight years. He is passionate about care and supporting people to maximise their full potential. Michael is committed to developing services and helping people to feel fulfilled, developing a sense of belonging and pride in their home.
Tanya brings many years of are experience to the Deputy Manager role. Tanyas career has always been care focused, working not only in care homes but as well as in the community and the NHS. She began working for us as a Senior Care Assistant and after swiftly proving her great knowledge, she was promoted to Deputy Manager. “I really like working for OSM because it allows me the flexibility to plan ahead with the 3 days on, 3 days off schedule, and because I get to work with such a great team, I feel inspired to advance my knowledge and skills.”
Kim began her career here at Old Sarum Manor as a Senior Care Assistant in 2023 and was promoted to Deputy Manager in February 2024. She is passionate about her role and appreciates the caring and dedicated nature of her team, all of whom share a commitment to the well-being of their residents. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Kim has worked in various areas, including community care, brain injury rehabilitation, and high-dependency care.
Mandy is part of our brilliant Front of House team and has worked in Customer focused roles for most of her life, ranging from wine waitress on a cruise ship to Restaurant Supervisor and dealing with complaints in a call centre. She is always happy to help anyone and very approachable. “It is wonderful to be working in such an amazing new home and to help bring comfort and joy to our residents’ lives.”
Emily dedicated 16 years to working as a self-employed housekeeper in private homes throughout Wiltshire, where she also undertook various caregiving tasks. She then joined Bluebird Care, a domiciliary care company, where she served as a team lead carer for over six years. In her final two years there, Emily transitioned to a care supervisor role, focusing more on office-based responsibilities that included managing care plans, ensuring compliance, and conducting care assessments. Recently, she took on the position of Lifestyle Manager here at Old Sarum Manor, where she continues to make a positive impact in the community.
