Introducing Elmfield Care Does Bake off! a little competition we have introduced to our Catering Team.
The Competition
Elmfield Care has brought the popular Great British Bake Off to our Care Home Group. Bake Off is a TV competition hosted by Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig and judged by the famous Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith. Hollywood and Leith judge contestants bakes weekly until they eventually have a winner at the end of the series.
Our Catering teams will be taking part in the weekly Bake Off and our wonderful residents will be the judges. So to start the first week with a bang our first winners of Elmfield Care Does Bake Off, who will be taking a bottle of bubbly home are…Nodens Manor, Head Chef Leanne Garland and her Kitchen Team!
Leannes Catering Team brought to the competition not just one but five bakes! we start with the show stopper Chocolate Cake beautifully decorated with chocolate icing and Chocolate shavings on top, which was a favourite for our residents. Then we enjoyed a different take on the classic Cherry Bakewell and Lemon Cake. This was a great start to the competition and Flowers and Old Sarum have some serious competitors.
Head Chef Leanne, raised the bar with her baked goods when Nodens Manor Care Home opened in March 2023. Leanne has years of expertise in the Catering Industry and knows how to keep her residents sweet!
