How our residents spend their days is important to the team at Nodens and they love to create a programme that stimulates the body, mind and spirit, giving our residents something to look forward to each and every day. Talking with our residents, our team develops a schedule of activities that includes daily and weekly activities, like quizzes and games, and that also introduces new crafts and gentle exercises that they may not have tried before.
We’ll help residents to find activities that they feel comfortable with but we’ll also encourage them to stretch themselves if they’ll feel the benefit from it.
We explore the world around us as well, planning day trips and outings that will delight, entertain and inform. We live in a very beautiful and historic part of the world and our day trips are planned to make sure that there is something for everyone to enjoy. With stunning countryside on our doorstep and links to our Roman past, there will always be something exciting on the horizon. For those who are looking for a bit of retail therapy or a trip out for a big ice cream, there’ll be a trip with their name on it.
Our residents are so very special to us and we take marking their important days very seriously at Nodens Manor. Whether it’s an important birthday or an occasion that your family would like to spend together, we can help you to celebrate. Friends and family are welcome to join us for a cup of tea and a slice of cake for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and other milestones. We can take care of everything for you, from the Victoria Sponge or cupcakes to balloons and flowers, your big days are our big days.
We make a point of bringing life outside Nodens Manor inside, by running specially-themed events around events such as the World Cup, Royal Weddings and the Olympics. Our activities team run themed games and quizzes, while our chef’s team create themed menus that are full of fun and flavour. We also bring a bit of light and life to our weekly schedules with pop up restaurants that deliver the best of the season. Watch out for our curry nights and our summer BBQs.
