Nestled in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK, Elmfield Care’s newest home – Nodens Manor – is thrilled to open its doors and welcome new residents. Located in Lydney, Nodens Manor not only has local shops nearby but also within easy reach of both Gloucester and Chepstow, sits on the edge of the stunning Wye Valley and is only a short drive over the border from Wales.
Discover Life at Nodens Manor
With a fantastic team on board, we’re now settling our first residents into their new home, with lots to do and plenty of activities taking place. We were thrilled with our grand opening on 18 March and we’ve welcomed residents just in time for Easter – with a few chocolate eggs on offer alongside our wonderful home baked cakes and treats from our amazing catering team.
Nodens Manor offers everything that you could want. Our catering team pour their heart and soul into everything that they do, even checking the weather to brighten up a dull, rainy day with a tropical pavlova. It brought huge smiles from everyone that say and enjoyed it.
There will always be a little treat on offer but our menus are designed around our residents’ nutritious and dietary needs. Our catering team are whipping up fabulous menus as standard and our residents are enjoying meal-times enormously. Our kitchen and food preparation has also just been awarded the maximum of 5 stars for Food Hygiene practice from the Food Standards Agency.
Coming Alive Outside
Our landscaping team have ensured that our residents can watch Spring come to life in our gardens, with many of our resident’s taking tea in the gardens during some of our recent sunny afternoons. It’s just the start of what we know will be a wonderful summer to come. Our outdoors is a great place to spend time by yourself in the warm sunshine or to meet with friends for a turn about the gardens.
Winning Team
When our residents come to live with us, they’re joining part of a larger team across three care homes under the Elmfield Care Group umbrella. This means that they will benefit from best-in-class care as both our care home group and another of our care homes have been named as one of the top 20 Small Care Home Groups in the UK by carehome.co.uk
Keeping Busy
April and May are set to be busy months with the start of the Spring and the Coronation to look forward to. We’ll have lots of activities to look forward to and our catering team are already working on our Coronation menu for the big day. The summer months are set to look equally busy and a lot of fun!
As well as marking high days and holidays, our daily activities are something that our new residents are beginning to enjoy. Residents are free to join in with as much or as little as they like, but our puzzle mornings, quizzes and movie nights are very well received.
What makes life at Nodens Manor all the more special is our all-inclusive living, where everything is rolled into one single weekly fee, with no add-ons or supplements.
