A Delightful Evening of Tasting and Socialising Brings Joy to Nodens Manor
Nodens Manor Care Home recently hosted its first Cheese and Wine Tasting event, creating an enjoyable evening for residents to savour delightful flavours. With a selection that included tantalising White, Red, and Rosé wines, participants had the opportunity to explore various tastes and textures.
Among the standout selections, the Barefoot Jammy Red and White Zinfandel garnered particular praise from attendees. Residents were treated to a delightful assortment, though reactions to the drier wines were a bit mixed, with some amusing expressions when sampling them. “I think we’ll stick to the sweeter options,” laughed one resident, capturing the light-hearted atmosphere of the evening.
Joyce, a resident who particularly enjoyed the event, expressed her fondness for the White Zinfandel, noting its slight sweetness as the perfect complement to the myriad of cheeses served. “It’s nice to indulge in something a little fancy every now and then,” she smiled, reflecting on the joy such gatherings bring to her day.
