Residents and families celebrate with a beautifully decorated floral-themed afternoon
On Sunday, 15th March, Old Sarum Manor Care Home celebrated Mother’s Day with a charming floral tea party that brought joy to residents, their families, and staff alike.
The tearoom was transformed into a floral paradise, adorned with bunting, napkins, and tablecloths featuring vibrant flower patterns. Vintage china cups and plates added a touch of elegance, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The dedicated kitchen team worked tirelessly throughout the morning, baking a variety of homemade cakes. Alex, the resident baker, crafted pastel cupcakes decorated with delicate sugar flowers, offering a delightful mix of flavours that both looked and tasted wonderful.
Invitations were sent out to relatives, resulting in a fantastic turnout of around 15 to 20 families. It was heartwarming to see so many loved ones gather, sharing precious moments with their relatives. Residents and their families sat together, chatting, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company in the beautifully decorated tearoom.
To add a special touch, the team prepared Mother’s Day favours for everyone to take home, which were greatly appreciated by both residents and relatives. The afternoon was filled with happiness and warmth, with many capturing memories and creating new ones.
The event was a resounding success, highlighting the importance of family and community in the care home. It was a truly special day, filled with love, laughter, and floral beauty, leaving everyone with smile-filled memories to cherish.
