Residents Celebrate Love and Happiness in a Special First Service Following Vicar Jean’s Retirement
Today marked a special milestone as we warmly welcomed Jo and Melani to lead their first church service following the retirement of our beloved Vicar Jean. Jo, who knows the home well and has a close connection with the residents, was joined by Melani, who played the keyboard to accompany hymns. Residents from all floors gathered in the ground floor dining room to listen, participate, and enjoy the uplifting service.
The service focused on celebrating the beauty of our world and the joy of community. The residents sang beautifully, filling the room with melody and warmth, and everyone joined in with enthusiasm. The atmosphere was filled with positivity, highlighting how fortunate we are to live in such a wonderful world.
The glorious weather added to the joyful occasion. With the sun shining brightly, we invited the residents to sit outside in the garden after the service. We spent a delightful afternoon chatting in the sunshine, sharing ice creams, and basking in the happiness of the moment. The sense of community and love was palpable, making it a truly perfect day for everyone involved.
