Mike is CEO of Elmfield Care and took on the role in March 2024. Mike has previously worked a variety of roles in Healthcare in the private sector, NHS and private equity. Mike is also a Board Trustee of The Fremantle Trust and brings significant experience working with CQC and other regulators, ensuring the highest levels of care for residents at all times.
Sheila joined Elmfield Care originally as an Operations Director and now as the Managing Director for the group. She brings 40 years of experience with her from working in the care sector across Residential and Nursing environments as well as hospital and community settings. Her past experience includes multi-site management as a Regional/Area Manager, a CQC Inspector and a qualified Social Worker all of which has given her the opportunity to develop high quality and safe care to all individuals. Coupled with genuine passion to ensure people are given opportunities to live the life of their choice, within a safe and caring environment. “I am excited to be part of Elmfield and being part of a developing compassionate care provider, that ensures ‘the person’ stays at the heart of everything ”.
Sharon has been with us since our first location opened in 2020. She began as the Lifestyle Manager at Old Sarum Manor Care Home and has recently moved to the Marketing team as she pursues her Business Management qualifications with us. Sharon has previously worked in both private healthcare and the dance industry. Sharon worked in dance for 5 years as a teacher and for over 10 years as a dancer in professional production shows and at prestigious venues in the UK such as Wembley Stadium and The Royal Albert Hall. During her time in the dance industry, Sharon also gained experience in business administration and programme design. “I am so grateful to be a part of such a wonderful team that has given me the opportunity to grow.”
Michael started his career as a Care Assistant, working with the elderly over thirty years ago. This has become a vocation, supporting people to maximize their quality of life. He then went on to work with People who had experienced brain injuries, where he progressed to Senior Care Assistant, and to Deputy Manager. Michael has also worked closely with people in the community, as well as in care homes. He was promoted to Home Manager where he worked in the private sector with vulnerable adults.
Michael has continued to develop his skills and training working in several private organisations as Manager. He has also been a Regional Manager working for a small care group, supporting people with learning disabilities within the community. Michael has come to Old Sarum Manor after working for an organisation for eight years. He is passionate about care and supporting people to maximise their full potential. Michael is committed to developing services and helping people to feel fulfilled, developing a sense of belonging and pride in their home.
Esther moved from Ireland when she was 18 years old and has been working in the care industry for the last 17 years. She started as a care assistant and progressed to General Manager. Esther has been a registered Manager since the age of 28 and has managed many care homes providing residential and dementia care. “I’m very passionate about what I do and always try my best to deliver an excellent service to all who live and work with me”
Bart has been working in the care industry for over 18 years, progressing from a Care Assistant through to a General Manager. He is thrilled to be commissioning a new home, welcoming a brilliant team, and most importantly he is here to support and grow our resident community. “The support and wellbeing of everyone who lives at Nodens Manor Care Home is my main priority, and opening Nodens has been a brilliant achievement.”
