Dementia is unfortunately too common, though we are here to help and support our residents and their relatives through this journey.
We train our teams in dementia, and they continue to learn from experience, which helps residents with mild to moderate dementia to live safe, happy lives with us. Practical support, such as knowing how to have a conversation, to helping to avoid distress to orientation signage, empowers residents to live as independently as possible, while reminiscence activities stimulate memories in a secure and loving environment.
The home promotes integration between the different floors, so residents can mix and socialise with ease in one of the purpose-built communal areas, including the coffee shop and cinema, which have been placed at the heart of the home to make it easy to share in each other’s company, as well as continue to enjoy trips out. Our team is on hand to continue to the work that you and other health professionals may have begun and will take good care of the people that matter most to you.
