A Resident’s Wish Sparks a Flourishing Library
At Flowers Manor Care Home, the comfort and happiness of residents are held dear. One day, a thoughtful resident expressed a heartfelt desire for more large print books in the Primrose Library.
Listening intently, the lifestyle team sprang into action. They knew the importance of providing accessible literature for all, so they embarked on a mission to source a variety of titles. With determination, they reached out to the Wiltshire Council Library in Chippenham and Corsham, expressing their goal of expanding the collection.
Their efforts soon bore fruit. Within weeks, an incredible selection of 65 new large print books arrived, bringing a wave of excitement and anticipation. Residents gathered in the library, eagerly browsing through the new arrivals, their faces lighting up at the sight of familiar titles and authors.
The Primrose Library transformed into a hub of laughter and conversation as stories were shared and new friendships blossomed. What began as a simple request became a vibrant chapter in the lives of Flowers Manor residents, reminding everyone of the power of community and the joy of reading.
