An Evening with F W Jones: Planning for End-of-Life Support
Flowers Manor Care Home was delighted to welcome relatives and members of the local community to a special event on Wednesday 30th September with F W Jones to have a gentle conversation about planning ahead and supporting the people we love as they near their final pathway.
The evening began with refreshments catered by our in-house teams, including delicious homemade bread, cheeseboards and meat platters. Guest speaker Meg from F W Jones then shared helpful planning tips and explained the support the local funeral directors can offer. Meg also touched on the best ways to start a conversation about end-of-life wishes with loved ones.
Guests had the opportunity to continue the conversation over refreshments and ask questions specific to their loved ones. One attendee told us how useful it was to learn ways to start conversations around a range of important topics.
Another member of the community advised “What a lovely idea, such a “taboo” subject that no one wants to talk about, but it will happen to all of us one day. Lovely that families have time to discuss and investigate different avenues and options.”
