A Week of Delights and Delightful Moments
From May 20th to 24th, Flowers Manor Care Home joined forces with Person Centred Software (PCS) to celebrate Glad to Care week, a nationwide initiative aimed at showcasing the special relationships between residents and carers. The event brought together over 600 care homes across the country, with Flowers Manor proudly participating and hosting a range of activities for its residents.
Motivation Monday: Kicking Off the Week in Style
The week began on Monday with a Motivation Monday exercise session in the cinema room, designed to get the residents moving and energised for the week ahead. The session was a huge success, with residents laughing and chatting as they participated in a series of fun exercises and games.
Tasty Tuesday: A Sweet Treat for All
Tuesdays Coffee Morning in the Tea Room was a highlight of the week, with residents indulging in delicious treats and good company. The morning was filled with warm conversation and warm treats, providing a welcome respite from the usual daily routine.
Wellbeing Wednesday: Music to Their Ears
Wellbeing Wednesday featured a live singer performing in the Sunflower Suite, filling the room with uplifting music and warmth. The performance was a hit with residents, who sang along and tapped their feet to the beat.
Thankful Thursday: Diddi Dance Delight
Thursday saw the return of Diddi Dance classes in Primrose Suite, a regular favorite among residents that never fails to put smiles on their faces. The classes are always a highlight of the week, with residents laughing and having fun as they dance and sing along.
Feel Good Friday: A Relaxing Finale
The week came to a close on Friday with Feel Good Friday, as residents enjoyed Pimms in the Garden – a perfect way to relax and unwind after a busy week. The afternoon was filled with gentle chatter and laughter, as residents savored the warm sunshine and each other’s company.
Overall, Glad to Care week at Flowers Manor was a great success, bringing joy, laughter, and a sense of community to all who participated.
