Bringing Families Together Through Music, Delicious Treats, and Shared Memories
Last Friday Flowers Manor Care Home celebrated a heartwarming milestone by hosting its first relatives’ afternoon tea for residents of the Sunflower Suite. The event was a resounding success, showcasing the home’s commitment to fostering community and connection among families and their loved ones.
Guests were warmly welcomed with an exquisite selection of drinks, including bubbly Buck’s Fizz, refreshing Pimm’s, and delightful orange and pineapple punch. The inviting atmosphere was further enhanced by the melodic strains of Sue, who played the violin throughout the event, creating a soothing backdrop for conversations and laughter.
To elevate the experience, the staff pulled out all the stops, presenting the afternoon tea with elegant China cups and gold cutlery. The attention to detail reflected Flowers Manor’s dedication to providing a luxurious and memorable experience for residents and their families. The catering team excelled themselves, preparing a delightful spread that featured an array of sandwiches, savory tarts, and a mouthwatering selection of cakes, paired with freshly brewed tea and coffee.
“This event was about creating memorable moments,” said the Activities Coordinator at Flowers Manor. “We want to bridge the gap between our residents and their families, celebrating the love and connection that brings us all together.”
The afternoon tea offered residents and their relatives a beautiful opportunity to bond over delicious food and live music, reinforcing the care home’s ethos of community and connection. As the sunlight streamed through the windows, laughter filled the air, marking a perfect afternoon of joy, nostalgia, and cherished memories.
Flowers Manor looks forward to hosting more events like this, continuing to enhance the lives of residents and families alike.
