The Team at Flowers Manor, in Wood Lane, Chippenham, was both thrilled and delighted to have been recognised for the positive impact of the new-build within its local community.
Awarded with a 2022 Conservation and Environment Award by the Chippenham Civic Society, the Flowers team, along with the wider Elmfield Care team, were overjoyed to have been awarded with their Certificate of Merit. Elmfield Care would like to take this opportunity to shine a light on LNT Care Developments, which acts as their building and architecture partner during the building and development phase. LNT Care Developments is responsible for the build, choosing the site, the architecture and character of the property, so this award is testament to their skill and experience.
Flowers Manor Blossoms
When choosing a site for redevelopment, LNT Care Developments is conscious of how the exterior of the home and its positioning will work for the local community, just as they ensure the interior will suit the residents. Working with skilled and experienced architects and developers – LNT Care Developments – enables Elmfield Care to launch care properties that not only fit in to their location but that add to the local landscape.
Flowers Manor is no exception and the entire team worked hard to transform a derelict site into a new happy and thriving community where Elmfield residents can live contentedly. The fact that this has been recognised by such an integral part of the local Chippenham community has made all the hard work, attention to detail and focus on regeneration well worthwhile.
The Chippenham Civic Society
The Chippenham Civic Society offers membership to all who want to join and the Society seeks to promote civic pride in Chippenham by placing a focus on both buildings and individuals of note. The Society is proud of Chippenham’s heritage and character, with the aim of protecting and maintaining Chippenham’s reputation as a pleasant place in which to live. In terms of local buildings, the Society works to protect existing buildings of note while helping to ensure that new developments reflect Chippenham’s high standards. A historic market town with origins that date back to the Saxon times, in the 7th Century, Chippenham’s building chart its fascinating and diverse history, with the medieval timber-framed Yelde Hall established as long ago as the 1450s. With the River Avon running through the town and the great city of Bath minutes away by train, it’s unsurprising that Chippenham is so loved and cherished.
Thanks from Flowers Manor
Flowers Manor General Manager, Esther Cambridge, welcomes the award and thanks the Chippenham Civic Society for taking the time and effort to appraise the Flowers building.
Esther comments, “This is a really important award for us at Flowers Manor, Elmfield Care and LNT Care Developments. This is home to our residents and so we take great care in ensuring that it looks and feels cosy and comfortable to them but the wider community is also important to us. This Award acknowledges the fact that our design team go the extra mile to make sure that our building not only fits with but also adds to the local community. Thank you – this award means so very much to all of us at Flowers Manor and Elmfield Care.”
