A Stunning Victoria Sponge
This weeks Bake off win goes to this stunning Victoria Sponge Cake made for Fathers Day here at Flowers Manor Care Home. This delightful cake was made by our Head Chef, George Stoneman who joined the Flowers Manor Team when we opened our doors back in September 2021.
George and Kitchen Assistant Faye decorated the cake with sweet home made butter cream icing and topped with fresh strawberries, a beautiful cake for our residents to enjoy on a special day. the cake had three layers filled with jam, buttercream and strawberries, the perfect pairing for a hot cup of tea.
Since starting George has led a wonderful team and has done a fantastic job meeting our residents requirements. his team go above and beyond and this beautifully decorated cake definitely shows that!
this has been another successful week of bakes and getting to see what our Head Chefs and the Tams have created has been even better, we have a lot of very lucky residents enjoying these tasty treats. We cannot wait to see what is in store for next week!
