This month our residents were taken on a journey through time back to the 1950’s to Flowers Diner!
for the last few months at Flowers Manor, we have been running Pop-Up Restaurants for our residents and their families to try new cuisines from all over the globe. Since introducing our Pop-up Restaurants our residents and their families have experienced authentic Indian dishes, Spanish flavours, and now American classics!
Flowers Diner!
To prepare for events like this our Lifestyle team will speak with residents to see what new cuisines they would like to try and this month one of our residents Vera, landed on America and their ever so popular Retro Diners which are known for serving Hamburgers, French Fries and the classic Hot Dog. With the theme in mind our team went above and beyond to decorate the home to give it the retro feel with the checkerboard tablecloths, electric guitars and records hanging and of course 1950’s tunes on the Jukebox!
Our Catering team put together a mouth-watering menu for everyone to try which included Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, Maryland Chicken And delicious Apple Pie Dumplings! The menus were well received by all, and we ended the evening with a lot of great feedback.
These Pop-Up Restaurants are a perfect time for residents to invite guests of their choice into their home and experience something new with them at no extra cost! And this is just one of the many perks of our All-Inclusive offering at Elmfield Care, for not just the resident to enjoy but their guests too when they visit us, whether it be stopping by for a cup of tea or joining us for one of our themed dinner parties.
