Residents Cultivate Fresh Produce for Delicious High Tea Experiences
At Flowers Manor Care Home, teamwork flourishes as residents come together to cultivate a thriving garden. A couple of dedicated residents spearheaded the initiative by building raised beds, laying the groundwork for a vibrant vegetable and salad patch. Under the guidance of our enthusiastic gardening club members, they selected the perfect crops during a recent trip to the garden center.
As the fruits of their labor begin to come to life, it’s time to enjoy the delightful bounty they have nurtured. Today’s high tea featured a delectable prawn cocktail, elevated by the freshest salad leaves harvested right from our raised beds. The joy of home-grown food fills our dining hall as residents savor the flavours of their hard work, embodying the spirit of “from garden to plate.”
This heartwarming collaboration not only provides wholesome ingredients for our meals but also fosters camaraderie and a sense of accomplishment among residents. The gardening project has become a beautiful testament to the power of teamwork and the joys of communal living at Flowers Manor. With every leaf plucked and every dish served, our residents find nourishment—not just on their plates, but in their hearts.
