Flowers Manor in Wood Lane, Chippenham’s newest Later Life Residential and Dementia Carehome was opened this week by the Mayor of Chippenham, Councillor John Scraggs, who was cheered on by the Flowers Manor Team. The Mayor also kindly offered to come and talk to the residents about the history of Chippenham and some of his engineering passions.
This was followed by an Open Weekend, where there were numerous visitors to Flowers Manor, as well as a horse, who was fed carrots by the visitors! Flowers Manor is based in the well-known area of Flowers Yard, which has a well-known history all of its own over the last 70-years in Chippenham and the first residents, who moved in this week, will continue the legacy of the area.
Flowers Manor will employ about 60 people from the local area, across skills from Carers to Catering, as well as working with other local businesses to ensure the home is stocked with everything from local produce to going out for trips to local attractions and hostelries.
