Residents Engage with Current Affairs through Newspaper and Natter
Morning Rituals at Flowers Manor
At Flowers Manor Care Home, morning routines are more than just daily rituals; they serve as a means for residents to stay connected with the outside world. For Pam, one of the residents, reading the newspaper over breakfast is a cherished habit. She uses this time not only to absorb information but also to share insights with fellow residents, sparking conversations about current affairs.
Pam Takes the Lead
Recognising Pam’s enthusiasm for news, the lifestyle team at Flowers Manor decided to let her take charge of the upcoming Newspaper and Natter session. Set for July 16th, this gathering promised a platform for residents to engage with one another while discussing important topics that matter to them. Pam was excited, looking forward to leading the group and sharing her take on recent events.
A Community of Conversation
During the Newspaper and Natter session, Pam shone as she read aloud stories from the morning’s paper. Residents participated eagerly, offering their opinions and engaging in friendly debates. This interactive format not only entertained but also encouraged residents to express their thoughts, fostering a sense of community in the care home. As voices blended in discussion, it became evident that Flowers Manor is a place where connection thrives through shared knowledge and experiences.
