Wild Thyme Landscapers have been volunteering their services to grow our beautiful garden spaces.
We are very lucky here at Flowers Manor Care Home to have an amazing volunteer gardener from Wild Thyme landscaping company. They come and visit us at least once a month to help transform our beautiful boarders into something more special for our residents and families to enjoy over the next coming months.
This began when Rebecca, the Wild Thyme owner, saw a Facebook post about the approaching 100th birthday of one of our residents. Rebecca offered to make the birthday girl a dedicated boarder for her special day. After Rebecca visited the home, she wanted to do more for us and offered to come and help and has since enjoyed coming in on a regular basis along with her professional team of landscapers.
Our resident horticulturist Mike, is very passionate about our gardens and speaks with Rebecca regularly on what things we would like to see in the gardens. Their most recent project is building a garden at the Gardeners World Live at the NEC in June, which is so exciting and we all can’t wait to see photos of the big event.
Rebecca’s father sadly passed away from dementia and has always said that she would love to give back to a care home one day. We are extremely lucky to have had Rebecca reach out to us and show her interest in our home, her team have done a wonderful job in our gardens and we look forward to more collaborations in the future!
