vibrant celebration filled with arts, culture, and delicious food for residents and staff
Flowers Manor Care Home recently hosted a lively celebration of Chinese New Year, showcasing a colourful array of activities and cultural traditions. The residents enjoyed a fun arts and crafts session, creating beautiful paper dragons believed to bring good luck, strength, and prosperity for the year ahead. These colourful creations symbolised hope and positive energy for everyone involved.
Later in the day, residents gathered for a special Chinese New Year lunch, featuring a delectable menu. The meal included traditional favourites such as sweet and sour chicken battered balls and pork chow mein. Vegetarian residents were also catered for with a tasty vegetarian chow mein. To round off the festivities, everyone savoured a delicious chocolate and pear pudding, adding a sweet touch to the celebration.
At Flowers Manor, celebrating a variety of events is a regular feature, and this Chinese New Year was no exception.
